Grants & Proposals

The Hawai’i State Center for Nursing provides funding support for projects and research that are consistent with the Center’s strategic objectives that advance the evidence-base for nurse recruitment and retention practices. The Center is interested in funding demonstration or pilot projects and applied research, with a special interest in projects that include a collaborative effort between educational and clinical practice settings. Theses and dissertations may also be supported. The Center does not fund scholarships or operational and/or capital support of agencies or organizations.

The Center has two different mechanisms for grant funding.

1. The first is a Revolving Call for Proposals for a broad range of applications that can be submitted at any time throughout the year.

2. The second mechanism is more specific to Recruitment and Retention Proposals and has an annual submission date of January each year.

1. Throughout the year, the Center welcomes requests for funding support using the Revolving Call for Proposals and asks that you first submit a Letter of Inquiry to the Executive Director at hscfn@hawaii.edu
